“A game changing innovation” for gas leak control

We’re excited to share a major milestone for Sarco Stopper in 2026: our continued collaboration with SGN as they invest in the rollout of Sarco Gas Stent® technology across the south of England, with Scotland to follow in March.

Building on successful trials and live deployments, under G23, the Gas Stent system is transforming how medium‑pressure gas leaks (up to 2” Barg) are controlled—quickly, safely, and with minimal disruption. By deploying an inflatable stent under pressure, leaks can be contained while maintaining supply, reducing emissions, and avoiding the need for large excavations.

This innovation supports:

• Rapid leak control on medium‑pressure and low pressure Gas Mains
• Environmental protection, significantly cutting gas escape volumes
• Reduced public disruption, with fewer excavations, traffic impacts, and customer outages
• Operational efficiency, enabling safer, faster interventions

With SGN adopting this technology into full operational use, 2026 marks the beginning of a wider UK rollout, driving modern, sustainable gas distribution network management.
