Gas Stent

The Gas Stent® is an innovative gas escape and management system designed to safely seal leaks in live gas mains without the need to isolate the entire pipeline.

By deploying an internal stent to the leakage zone, the system enables operators to isolate the leak, not the pipe, significantly reducing disruption to customers while improving safety and environmental outcomes.

Suitable for both metallic and PE mains, the Gas Stent® provides a fast, effective solution for managing gas escape across a range of common pipeline failure scenarios.

The Gas Stent® system is deployed directly to the leakage zone within the pipeline:

  • A camera is positioned to identify and confirm the leak location
  • The stent is guided into position within the pipe
  • The stent is inflated at the point of failure
  • The leak is sealed internally, restoring integrity to the pipeline
