SARCO STOPPER – BACKGROUND TO INNOVATIVE SOLUTIONS FOR THE WATER SECTOR
Sarco Stopper successfully demonstrated to Yorkshire Water the significant benefits of utilising under pressure bagging-off techniques in water mains. This technique minimised customer interruptions to supply, while delivering major cost savings by utilising the water inflated and mains pressurised Sarco Aqua Hydro® Bags. Under pressure bagging-off techniques in gas mains have been long established and Sarco approached WASK as recognised market leaders in bag delivery systems to jointly develop a suitable bag launch system for use in the water sector. The award winning Aquastop MK11 line stopping and bypass system, along with the compact Hydrant Wizard, to isolate hydrants, is the result of this innovative development.
